Gisele Bundchen gives Patriot wives more reason to hate her

G isele Bundchen’s angry dissing of hubby Tom Brady’s New England Patriots teammates — as she exited the Super Bowl on Sunday night — has unveiled long-held negative feelings about the supermodel.

Other players’ wives and members of the Patriots’ organization gave me an earful Monday as Bundchen’s comments went viral.

Reportedly egged on by a New York Giants fan who made a mocking remark to Bundchen on her way out of Lucas Oil Stadium, the Brazilian beauty said, “My husband cannot f - - - - - - throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

A veteran team staffer said: “Gisele may have had a point, but she should have left it to the sportswriters and other Monday morning quarterbacks. . . . She already is not liked by many players and their wives due to her arrogant attitude. . . . This sure won’t help improve things.”

Proof of that came from the wife of a Brady teammate who told me Monday, “Gisele has very few friends among the wives. Of course, many are jealous of her looks and all that, but she doesn’t make it easy to like her — since she obviously feels so superior to all of us.”

† Another source — close to a lot of the Patriots’ wives — told me, “Gisele is . . . so stuck up and treats them all like yahoos. . . . In many cases, the other wives are not all that sophisticated, but Gisele has been openly snotty to several of them — making cracks about how they dress and use too much makeup. Stuff like that.”

† Apparently, when Brady himself heard about his wife’s crack, he hit the ceiling — realizing how awkward that comment would make it for him to deal with his fellow Patriots.

FAMILY MATTERS: The funeral of singer Leslie Carter was a very small ceremony. Even her brother Nick Carter wasn’t there, but only because he wasn’t aware of it. Nick told TMZ, “I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic.”

While Aaron Carter was present for the sad event, Nick — who has been on the road touring — supposedly was kept in the dark because some family members didn’t want him there.

Leslie Carter died last week of a suspected prescription drug overdose, a diagnosis still pending the results of toxicology tests.

FACE FACTS: Even though Kim Kardashian brags about her deep commitment to charity work, some Hollywood folks are amused that the reality TV star always shows up in full makeup and with her hair carefully coiffed. That has been the case whether she’s working in L.A. soup kitchens (where she rarely stays longer than an hour at a time) or during her relief trips to Haiti.

† Also, there are reports the charity eBay site that sells Kardashian’s designer wardrobe contributes only about 10 percent to nonprofits, with the rest of the proceeds going to her.

HEADED HERE: Former Polish president and Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa will be in town Thursday to be honored with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation’s “Lincoln Leadership Prize” at a Four Seasons gala — also attended by Robert Kupiecki, Poland’s ambassador to the U.S., and the Polish consul general in Chicago, Zygmunt Matynia.

Previous recipients of the award have included Archbishop Desmond Tutu, retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, astronaut Jim Lovell and the late newscaster Tim Russert.

TV TALK: Chicago native and St. Ignatius grad A ndre Braugher has been tapped for the lead in the pilot for ex-Rockford guy Shawn Ryan’s “Last Resort” futuristic military drama series. Unlike Ryan’s last series, the Chicago-made “Chicago Code,” this U.S. Navy-themed show won’t be shot here.

SEEN ON THE SCENE: Kerry Wood was seen dining at Prasino in Wicker Park. . . . A local TV/radio crowd caught “The Doyle & Debbie Show” at the Royal George, including Dick Johnson, Chuck Goudie and Jonathon Brandmeier, while WGN’s Micah Materre was seen at “The Jackie Wilson Story” at Black Ensemble Theater’s beautiful new home. . . . PR veteran Bernie DiMeo was spied celebrating his birthday at Via Veneto on Lincoln.
