The 2012-2012 season at Skokie’s Northlight Theatre is already starting to take shape with the announcement that maverick comics Tim Kazurinsky and George Wendt are to co-star in director BJ Jones’ revival of the Neil Simon classic, “The Odd Couple.”
Kazurinsky, who will be making his Northlight debut as compulsive neatnik Felix Unger, is familiar from his work in films and on television (including “Curb Your Enthusiasm”), but is perhaps still best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” in the early 1980s. Second City veteran Wendt, who will be playing natural-born slob Oscar Madison, appeared at Northlight in 2002 in the world premiere of “Rounding Third,” and is best known for his role as Norm Peterson on the hit TV series “Cheers.”
Performances of “The Odd Couple” are set to begin Nov. 2. Subscriptions for Northlight’s 2012-13 season will go on sale in the spring, with subscribers having the first chance to purchase additional tickets before they go on sale to the general public.
