Some must-see convention events include:
♦ C3PO himself, Anthony Daniels, will also be on hand to talk about all things long, long ago in a “Star Wars” galaxy far, far away with a Q&A session 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. April 14.

♦ Though the second season of AMC’s hit zombie series “The Walking Dead” might be over, actors Steven Yeun (Glenn) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie) just might dig up a few nuggets about what viewers can expect from the third season of the show when they appear at a Q&A session 4 p.m. April 14.

♦ Also appearing at a Q&A session at 10:45 a.m. April 15, legendary comic book artist Neal Adams will be on hand to discuss his impressive body of work that spans over 50 years and includes work on Batman, Green Lantern and X-Men.

♦ Evanston-born actor John Cusack will be on hand at 11:30 a.m. April 15 to discuss his career and his latest movie, “The Raven”; he signs autographs at 8-9 a.m. April 15 (only 100 free autographing tickets will be handed out; first-come, first-served; free).

♦ The robot-themed “Voltron” franchise will be on-hand for three interactive and family-friendly events, including a panel discussion 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. April 14; a Kid’s Day on-floor demonstration for children on how a cartoon is created, 2:15-3:15 p.m. April 15, on how a cartoon is created; and a sneak-peek screening from noon to 1 p.m. April 15 of the new “Voltron Force” episode.

♦ Actor Val Kilmer (“Batman Forever,”) is on tap for various autograph sessions April 14 and 15 ($40 fee). He’s also part of a panel discussion/Q&A about his career, 6:30-7:30 p.m. April 14.

♦ DC Comics panel discussion with top editors/writers David Finch, Kevin Maguire, Scott Snyder, 5-6 p.m. April 13.

♦ “Lord of the Rings” star Sean Astin signs autographs at various sessions, 1-7 p.m. April 13. ($40 fee)

♦ Chicago’s own Svengoolie signs autographs from 2-4 p.m. April 14.

♦ “Top Chef” winner and Chicago celebrity chef/restaurateur Stephanie Izard signs autographs from 5-7 p.m. April 13 (free).

♦ Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine) and writer of “Orchid” (Dark Horse Comics) signs autographs from3-4 p.m. April 13 (free).

♦ All things “Spider-Man” are on tap from 11 a.m. to noon April 14 with speakers Axel Alonso (Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief), Dan Slott and Ryan Stegman.
