'Indiana Jones" is hardly square in LEGO game
Why did it have to be snakes? Blocky, plastic LEGO snakes?
Due in stores in June, "LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures" lets gamers play through the first three "Indiana Jones" adventures in a tongue and cheek way.
Gameplay will again feature a family-friendly co-operative mode in addition to single-player.
Other than Indy himself, more than 60 playable characters can be unlocked and played. They include Marion Ravenwood, Short Round and Jones Senior.
LucasArts is expecting an E10+ rating for the game and it will be available for the 360, DS, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, and Wii.
Here comes 'Mario Kart'
"Grand Theft Auto IV'' is getting the lion's share of attention this week, and publisher Rockstar Games is expecting that just about everyone with an Xbox 360 or a PlayStation 3 is going to buy one. But where does that leave Wii owners? Or parents who don't want their kids to be exposed to the lurid shenanigans in Liberty City?
Nintendo, which has shown uncanny marketing instincts over the last couple of years, is hoping to meet the demand for an alternative. While every other game manufacturer dodged the ''GTA IV'' street date, Nintendo took it head-on, releasing ''Mario Kart Wii'' just two days earlier. It could be a savvy strategy, and Nintendo doesn't have much to lose, since ''Mario Kart'' is certain to be one of the year's best-selling games.
We were still making laps around the "Kart" track at press time. Look for our review of "Mario Kart Wii" in Gamezone next week.
