End of the road for ‘Cash Cab Chicago’

Sorry, Chicagoans: The next time you board a taxi, all you be getting is a taxi ride. The Discovery Channel reportedly has put the brakes on the local edition of “Cash Cab,” the game show that gives prizes to unwitting riders who answer trivia questions. Second City actress Beth Melewski, who navigated downtown streets as host of “Cash Cab Chicago” episodes that aired earlier this week, posted on Facebook that she was told “Discovery will not be going forward with any more seasons.” The show’s Discovery spokesman could not be reached for comment.
