Ciao, bella!
It was George Clooney’s lovely ex-girlfriend, Italian actress/model Elisabetta Canalis, who was shown the door on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” results show. Not much of a surprise considering she and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy had pretty much no chemistry whatsoever out on the floor (and from the looks of video montages, their rehearsal time was also cold).
Though Canalis improved on her score from the first week, she probably had the smallest fan base of any of this season’s competitors, which on ‘Dancing,’ translates to “you’re outta here.”
Joining Canalis on the dais with the creepy “exit music” thumping was David Arquette, who had danced a quite dismal jive with partner Kym Johnson Monday night. Her sad face could hardly hide her disappointment. The pair received a (well-deserved) score of 18 for their faulty efforts.
Rounding out the bottom three was Chaz Bono who joined the group with his partner Lacey Schwimmer, following their own dismal turn (yes, injuries were in play) on the ballroom floor Monday night. But because Bono has a huge fan base, his “16” from the judges trumped Canalis’ 21.
Best part of the results show? That gosh-darn fabulous Snickers commercial featuring Joe Pesci and Don Rickles! Catch it on YouTube if you still haven’t seen it.
