“DUCK DYNASTY” (9 p.m. Wednesday on A & E): Comb that beard and break out your best camo. There’s a wedding in the woods — technically, a vows renewal — in the hourlong season premiere of cable’s highest-rated nonfiction series. This rags-to-riches reality show about a Louisiana clan who’s made millions in the duck-hunting accessories biz can feel slow as molasses and about as genuine as the decoys used to lure waterfowl. But there’s no debate that it’s a bona- fide hit, with nearly 10 million viewers flocking to the Season 3 finale in April.
“WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE” (10 p.m. Thursday on Bravo): Oprah will be the one answering questions, not asking them, when she makes her first-ever appearance on Andy Cohen’s anything-goes talk show. Let’s see if Oprah is up for a round of shotski followed by Plead the Fifth, the game where Cohen puts guests on the hot seat, assailing them with a series of deeply personal (and often embarrassing) queries and only letting them take a pass on one.
“LOUIE” (9:30 p.m. Saturday on FX): Louis C.K.’s semi-autobiographical sitcom about life as a stand-up comic and divorced dad gets the marathon treatment. The cable net is airing all 13 episodes back to back from Season 3, a k a Louie’s Batcrackers-Crazy Girlfriends season, featuring Parker Posey and Melissa Leo, among others.
Leo is unforgettable in the second episode as Louie’s strong-willed blind date, a role that got her a guest-star Emmy nod — one of the show’s six nominations this year, including best comedy series.
