Jennifer Lopez to quit ‘American Idol’

Jennifer Lopez is expected to say goodbye to “American Idol” after next week’s season finale.
“She’s just too busy,” a source told E! Online. The report — confirmed to the Sun-Times by a Fox network source — said Lopez wants to free up her schedule next year in the hope of spending more time with her kids.
In July, Lopez begins a concert tour with Enrique Iglesias that comes to Chicago’s United Center on Aug. 3/
She is completing her second season as an “Idol” judge. Today Forbes placed her at No. on its list of the world’s most powerful celebrities, citing her $52 million in earnings and her Kohl’s clothing line in addition to “Idol” and her recording career.
