Den Theatre extends ‘Faith Healer’

The Den Theatre today announced a two-week extension of Brian Friel’s “Faith Healer,” now playing through Feb. 3 at the theater’s mainstage, 1333 N. Milwaukee.
Seventeen years after sold-out runs at TurnAround Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre, The Den’s critically acclaimed remount — “... it is the scorching beauty and almost unbearable ache of Friel’s storytelling and language that is the golden foundation of this production. Few writers of any time or place possess his piercing eloquence, emotional insight, dark humor and gift for the cutting detail that captures individual character. He is a master,” said Sun-Times Theater Critic Hedy Weiss in her recent review — features original Chicago cast members Brad Armacost, Lia D. Mortensen and Si Osborne and original direction by J.R. Sullivan.
