Joffrey Ballet offers discounted tickets to ‘Nutcracker’

The Joffrey Ballet’s “Nutcracker” is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and to commemmorate the event, the company is offering a 50 percent discount on tickets purchased from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 25, to select performances of the ballet, which runs Dec. 7-27 at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress.

The colorful, festive, full-out ballet was created by the late Robert Joffrey in 1987 and features the entire company and more than 100 young dancers from the area.

Discount tickets will be available at the box office in the lobby of Joffrey Tower, 10 East Randolph, as well as the Auditorium Theatre, by phone at (800) 982-2787 or online at You must mention discount code is CIJ (“Christmas in July”).
