Lookingglass Theatre’s world premiere production of “Eastland,” the poetic, visually stunning new musical about the 1915 disaster on the Chicago River in which a ship packed with factory workers headed for a summertime outing capsized and left many hundreds dead, has been extended for three weeks.
The show, written by Andrew White, with music by Andre Pluess and Ben Sussman and direction by Amanda Dehnert, will now run through Aug. 19 at Lookingglass’ home at the Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan.
Tickets for the extension are now on sale at (312) 337-0665 or online at www.lookingglasstheatre.org.
