Lookingglass Theatre will open its 25th anniversary season this fall with a reprise of one of its most successful productions — "Metamorphoses” — director Mary Zimmerman’s adaptation of the myths of Ovid, which earned her the 2002 Tony Award for best director when it ran on Broadway.
After playing at the Lookingglass Theatre this fall, the production (which began life in Chicago in 1998, and became the theater’s longest-running show), will move to Washington, D.C.’s, Arena Stage. The revival, which will feature a number of current Lookingglass ensemble members and original cast members, will be part of the theater’s 2012-13 subscription season. Subscriptions will go on sale on March 20. The remainder of the season will be announced soon.
