'Dirty Dancing' announces touring cast
They’re going to have the time of their lives because they’re starring in the national tour (and pre-Broadway engagement) of “Dirty Dancing —The Classic Story on Stage,” kicking off in Chicago on Sept. 28 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph.
Broadway in Chicago today announced that Josef Brown, currently in the London production of “Dirty Dancing,” will be reprising the role of Johnny Castle. Amanda Leigh Cobb will star as Frances “Baby” Houseman, and Joffrey Ballet member and Chicagoan Britta Lazenga (currently in the Toronto production of the musical and long-rumored to be cast for the U.S. tour) will star as Penny Johnson.
