1 MATTHEW FOX: The star of "Speed Racer" is not lost on a racetrack. Fox, who plays the mysterious Racer X, says, "I always thought driving was fun, but the suit was incredibly uncomfortable for this movie. It was so hot and there was all this sweat. But once I dropped into the helmet and started pouring out sweat, the character really fell into place." Fox muses that although his son thinks the whole film "is just about the coolest thing," there is one bit of being in a Speed Racer film that has caused him to pause. "My son says, "I know Racer X is great, Dad, but I'm going to be Speed Racer for Halloween and not you.' I'm like, 'Hey, wait just a minute.' "

2ASHTON KUTCHER and Cameron Diaz play two singles who meet fast, party hard and have a quickie wedding in Vegas. One borrows the other's quarter and wins a huge jackpot. So it's not the stuff of love at first chip, but Kutcher says there are no rules when it comes to amour. The hubby of Demi Moore says, "It's just about this feeling you have when you first connect. It doesn't matter where or when. I think it's just about the two people." Kutcher has been giving other love advice to magazines, where he recently said ladies shouldn't tell their guys that they look cute or hot because men don't really relate to those words. "You should say, 'You look like James Bond' or a hot football player.' " OK, Ashton, we got it.

3ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is back as a new kind of man of steel in the megahit "Iron Man." The Oscar nominee for "Chaplin" stars in the film version of the Marvel comic about Tony Stark, a smart munitions man who becomes a guy who busts bad guys with his tough iron hide. "It's such a great turn for me because I've always wanted to go superhero on everyone," Downey says. "I've spent so many hours in the movies watching all the action films and thinking, 'I'd love to be that guy up there. Hey, why aren't I the guy up there?' To get this chance truly is amazing to me." Downey not only fought for the role, but also logged the hours in the gym to have the stamina for it. "I'm into skydiving and martial arts," he says. "All of that came in very handy." Downey can also be seen later this summer in the action-comedy "Tropic Thunder."

4SIGOURNEY WEAVER plays a counselor for Tina Fey in "Baby Mama." Weaver says it's a great moment for her because her baby is about to fly the nest and go to college. "She's a very good artist and designer. She has talked about doing costume designer. She also wants to study literature." Weaver just got back from New Zealand, where she was filming "Avatar," James Cameron's first movie in 12 years. "It's the most ambitious project I've ever worked on," she says. "I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say much, but I play a botanist. I get to do a lot of science. James knows so much about science. He kept telling me how the 3D cameras work and I was like, 'What?' " As for working with Cameron, she says, "He was great. You know, I'm so fond of him personally. He loves actors. He's such a good director. He has no ego about his writing or anything. I think he's a very good writer. His work is always in primary colors and it's always based on really strong themes, so it's a real challenge to come up to that sort of size of the characters in a very subtle way. I had a great time working with him. I can't believe it's been 20 years [since 'Aliens']! We picked up like we'd never been apart, like an old married couple."

5CHRIS MELONI: He's TV's hot cop, but on the big screen Chris Meloni like to stretch a bit. He has a role in the new hit "Harold and Kumar" film, and it's not as the pretty boy. "The first time around in a 'Harold and Kumar' film, I played a guy named Freak Show. Now I'm the grand wizard of the KKK," Meloni says. "I didn't even know what the role was before I signed on. I just like the guys involved with it." Meloni also celebrates the 200th episode of his show "Law and Order: SVU." "You go to any acting pool in New York City and on everyone's credit is one episode of 'Law and Order,' " he jokes.
