It was B-Day across America as Brad Pitt and Paramount Pictures launched a whirlwind campaign Thursday to promote the star’s upcoming film, “World War Z.” For this mission, Pitt made surprise visits to three cities, including Chicago, where the star appeared at a promotional screening at the AMC River East theaters.
Earlier in the day, he introduced the film at screenings in Atlanta and Philadelphia. “World War Z,” which opens June 21, involves another race against time, as a United Nations staffer named Gerry Lane (Pitt) must beat the clock to stop a pandemic that threatens to wipe out humanity itself.
Thursday of course was June 6, which marked the U.S. invasion of Normandy, France, during World War II, in 1944.
