A Chicago memorial service honoring Michael Clarke Duncan is in the works, the late actor’s spokeswoman said Thursday.
Details on the event will be announced later, she said.
First, the Chicago native will be remembered in Hollywood Hills, Calif., with a public viewing of his casket Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
A private funeral service in Los Angeles is scheduled for Monday.
Duncan, who grew up on the South Side and attended King High School on South Drexel, died Monday of complications stemming from a July 13 heart attack. He appeared in the films “Armageddon,” “Planet of the Apes” and “Daredevil” and was Oscar-nominated for his role in “The Green Mile.”
