‘Big Bang Theory’ star Jim Parsons acknowledges he’s gay

Spreading quickly on the Web is a small tidbit about Jim Parsons in an interview with the New York Times.
The tidbit is so small, it’s near the end of the article about Parsons’ upcoming starring role as Elwood P. Dowd in Broadway’s “Harvey.” The article notes, “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said.”
Now, headlines are trumpeting that “The Big Bang Theory” star, who plays Sheldon, has come out of the closet.
Parsons, 39, never says a word about it, doesn’t offer any detail about his private life, nor does he divulge the identity of his partner of 10 years.
