As fans speculate about what has altered her appearance lately, Ashley Judd says it’s not plastic surgery, just pills.

The unusual puffiness to the actress’ face this week led fans to theorize that she’d gone under the knife.

Not so, her publicist said. “Ashley has been battling an ongoing, serious sinus infection and flu. Therefore, Ashley has been on a heavy dose of medication to overcome it so she could get on a plane and travel to Toronto and New York” to promote her new TV show, “Missing.”

Judd herself tweeted that she’s been through two rounds of steroids, adding that it’s not her preferred treatment, but “I’ll use whatever it takes when it gets this bad and stays for so long.”
