Cindy Pearlman biography

January 1, 2001
Cindy Pearlman grew up in Chicago loving movies and everything Hollywood. She covers the entertainment industry interviewing all of the biggest stars of movies, TV and music.

She even (barely) survived river rafting in Montana in order to interview Meryl Streep on the set of her film "The River Wild" and has almost completely forgiven the mice trainers from "Mouse Hunt" who swore that the mouse she was holding was trained ... that was before the darn rat sunk his vermin teeth into her shoulder. No rabies shots were required and the mouse went on to do other films, but not do interviews.

One of Cindy's biggest scoops ever was when Walter Matthau told her that he had been lovers for years with Jack Lemmon (He was kidding and Jack was mortified).

Cindy also walked down 15 flights of stairs in high heels while taking notes because it was the only way Russell Crowe would talk to her.

Her work has also appeared in the pages of several national magazines. Cindy is also the co-author of the new books, "The Black Book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets" and the film book "You Gotta See This!" where 100 of Hollywood's biggest stars and directors reveal their favorite films.

Cindy lives in Arlington Heights with her two extremely large dogs, Jake and Cody, and her collection of Bruce Springsteen bootlegs -- whoops, authorized recordings from old shows.
