Legendary country music singer Loretta Lynn was hospitalized over the weekend with the early stages of pneumonia, her spokesmen said.

Lynn, 76, had been scheduled to perform Saturday in Ashland, Ky. and Sunday in Durham, N.C. Both concerts were postponed.

“Doctors have diagnosed her as [in] the beginning stages [of] pneumonia, and [she] will continue to need rest,” said a statement from Loretta Lynn Enterprises. “Loretta is doing well and is disappointed but feels confident she will be ready for upcoming November dates.”

Lynn performed in July at Taste of Chicago. The next month, she canceled shows because of knee surgery.
