Aretha Franklin, Bob Newhart playing shows in Chicago

Two legendary performers are headed to the Chicago Theatre: Aretha Franklin makes her first tour appearance of the year — and since an illness caused her to cancel shows last year — at 8 p.m. May 19. Tickets are $47.50-$125. And Bob Newhart headlines the venue at 8 p.m. Oct. 22. Tickets are $37.50-$57.50. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. March 25 at ticketmaster.com or (800) 745-3000.
