Believe it or not, Justin Bieber is not only about to release his fourth album, he’s about to sell tickets for a North American tour, which will come to the Chicago area Oct. 23-24 at the Allstate Arena.
Bieber announced his tour plans Wednesday, a few weeks ahead of releasing “Believe,” due June 19, featuring duets with Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Ludacris.
“There’s a lot of fun stuff,” Bieber said this week about his tour plans. “I’ve been really hard at work in the studio, in the dance studio, just kind of figuring out what I want to do as far as choreography and whatnot. I think the tour’s going to be really special. We got a lot of surprises.”
The 18-year-old, multiplatinum Canadian wunderkind previewed his moves Sunday night when he performed “Boyfriend,” the first single from “Believe,” at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.
Tickets for the 45-city tour begin rolling out Thursday. First is a presale for the fan club. Then tickets are available to the public, including the Allstate shows, on June 2.
One dollar from each ticket will go to Pencils of Promise, a charity that builds schools in developing countries.
Bieber last performed here during the Jingle Bash concert at Rosemont’s Allstate Arena in December 2010.
