It’s no more Mr. Nice Guy (at least for now) for handsome actor Benjamin Bratt.
“I get so bored playing the good guy,” says Bratt. “I can do that stuff in my sleep. Any opportunity to do something more in the gray area is a relief.”
So he jumped at the chance to do the action-drama “Snitch” with Dwayne Johnson. “I’m not exactly his partner. Maybe an antagonistic partner,” laughs Bratt.
Would he ever get in the ring with the artist formerly known as the Rock? “In Giants Stadium. For $10 million,” he jokes.
The movie impressed his toughest critic. “I’ll go to any action film. My wife is less of a fan of the genre,” says Bratt, who is married to gorgeous actress-model Talisa Soto. “When she saw this film, she was compelled by the drama of Dwayne trying to save his son.”
Not as thrilling: her husband’s frequent onscreen rolls in the hay.
“Uh, let’s just say she’s less comfortable watching me do love scenes. I can relate. I’m sure I wouldn’t want to see her in the arms of … take your pick,” he says.
“She’s an actress, so she knows it’s part of the job, albeit a weird job. You’re legally allowed to kiss a beautiful woman and hold her in your arms and then go home to your wife. Weird!”
