As the other “man” in the “Twilight” triangle, Taylor Lautner can be counted on to shed his shirt at some point in every new movie. In “Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” he doesn’t disappoint.
“It’s always uncomfortable for me when I take off my shirt,” Lautner says, laughing. “No one else is taking their shift off. Why is everyone else in these movies bundled up in layers of clothing and I’m taking my clothes off all the time?”
Lautner reflects on his final turn as werewolf Jacob:
Q. Kristen Stewart beats you up in this movie. Was that fun to shoot?
A. That’s my favorite scene in “Breaking Dawn 2.” It was hysterical because when she finds out I’ve imprinted on her daughter, she doesn’t take it well. This is the first time Bella goes into vampire mode. Believe me when I say Kristen had a lot of fun bashing me around.
Q. What happened to your Jacob wig from the first film?
A. One of my biggest regrets. I hated that wig. At the wrap party, they asked me if I wanted it. I said, “No, burn it.” Now, it’s such good memorabilia and it’s gone because they really did burn it.
Q. What are you doing next?
A. I’m reteaming with the producers of “Twilight” on an awesome script. It’s very serious, dramatic and different for me. I’m excited to see what’s next. I love all aspects of film and all genres.
