A topping off ceremony for the new 22-story hotel tower being built at Blue Chip Casino Hotel in Michigan City, Ind., was held last week. The $130 million development, which will include new restaurants, a beauty and fitness spa, and convention center is scheduled to open in December.

Harrah's Joliet is celebrating its 15th anniversary throughout May with special drawings for cash and prizes and live entertainment every Wednesday, which will feature drawings at 1, 5 and 9 p.m. to select five winners (15 each day) to play for prizes that include instant cash up to $5,000, trips to Las Vegas and a chance to win $1 million. At the May 28 finale, one additional drawing winner will take home a $15,000 guaranteed cash prize. Also, special-edition anniversary T-shirts will be awarded to slot players who hit hand-pay jackpots and table-games players who get select winning combinations every Monday through Thursday.
