Navy Pier will be the home of a major new art show debuting in the fall of 2012. The organizing group Art Expositions announced Wednesday that “exposition Chicago” will run Sept. 19-23 in the pier’s Festival Hall.
Up to 100 international art galleries will present a curated mix of contemporary and modern art, design and new mediums. The inaugural exposition will use the theme “Discovery” to encompass programming and special installations at Navy Pier and other public art projects and events throughout the city.
Art Expositions has committed to present “exposition Chicago” for at least three years.
