Fifteen of the city’s top art dealers have banded together for the second-annual Gallery Weekend Chicago, a free open house taking place Sept. 21-23 in conjunction with Expo Chicago.
Participants include the Andrew Rafacz Gallery, Kavi Gupta Gallery, Richard Gray Gallery, Valerie Carberry Gallery and Western Exhibitions.
In addition to extended hours, the participating galleries will host a series of public talks and receptions as well as invitation-only parties and tours.
Gallery owner Monique Meloche, who spearheaded the event, said the weekend will complement the activities at Expo Chicago and give both visitors and local residents a “bricks-and-mortar” taste of the city’s gallery scene.
