Art Institute offers free admission in January
The Art Institute of Chicago is taking a bite out of the winter chill with free weekday admission throughout January. Beginning Jan. 3 (running through Feb. 4), general admission is free from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. Regular admission fees apply Saturdays and Sundays.
In addition, free general admission will continue through May 26 on Thursday evenings only, from 5 to 8 p.m.
