Web series “Our Cultural Center” debuts online to address funding in the arts

MORE CHICAGO WEB SERIES

“Our Cultural Center” is not the only Chicago-based web series. Here is a look at a few others:

— “Funemployed,” funemployedchicago.com. In its third season, this show offers a comic glimpse into the lives of a group of twentysomethings trying to find jobs after college and figure out what it means to be adults.

—“Making New Friends,” webseries.channel.com/making-new-friends. Created by Patrick O’Rourke and Zack Mast, this web series evolved from a weekly podcast of improv comedy sketches based on ideas submitted via Facebook and Twitter.

—“My Block, My Hood, My City,” vimeo.com/75752724. Chicago Ideas Week award winner Jahmal Cole is embarking on this project, which will feature interviews with residents, business owners and community leaders in Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods.
