This ain’t your mom’s holiday bazaar.
Hit Wicker Park’s 10th annual Renegade Craft Fair this weekend and find all things crafty and homemade — but with the artistic edge and modern design aesthetics required for an urban retail fest.
Organizers not only curate the best in jewelry, fashion, housewares, artisanal foodstuffs and paper goods, they also add music and a photobooth to create a dedicated one-of-a-kind street festival.
This year there is a pop-up vintage market by the Vintage Bazaar as well as workshops by Lillstreet Art Center, the Chicago School of Shoemaking and RX Made. Foodies can indulge in the savory from Dia De Los Tamales, MANA Food Bar, Antique Taco and Chicago’s Doghouse, sweets from Glazed & Infused, Black Dog Gelato and Puffs of Doom; and drinks by Oliver Winery and Goose Island.
Remember, cash spends as well, if not better, than plastic when hitting the streets to shop.
