Green Day is going back on the road.
The Grammy-winning punk band announced a string of shows on Monday, including a makeup date for a postponed concert at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Originally scheduled for Jan. 8, the show now is set for March 28.
Tickets for the earlier date will be honored.
The band canceled and postponed shows after a profane on-stage meltdown by singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong revealed his substance abuse problems. The band’s rep announced later that Armstrong was headed into treatment.
“I’m getting better every day,” Armstrong told fans in a statement Monday.
