Riverfront Theater, the tented venue at Chicago Avenue near Halsted, is adjusting its end-of-year lineup as a result of “careful evaluation of new information as it relates to its weather plans.”
That means Gentleman’s Rule, the popular a cappella ensemble, which was scheduled to play Nov. 13-25 at Riverfront, will now be performing at the Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted, instead. In addition, “La Soiree” has been canceled. The Riverfront Theater will reopen in Spring 2013 with programming to be announced.
Performance dates, times and pricing will remain the same for the Gentleman’s Rule show. Refunds for “La Soiree” will be issued by the Riverfront box office. Ticket buyers will be contacted by the box office. Patrons may also reach the box office at (888) 556-9484 or visit www.riverfronttheater.com.
Note: Gentleman’s Rule plans to launch its debut album, “Act Accordingly,” during the Royal George Theatre run. The album will include music made popular by David Guetta, Bob Marley, Nelly, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, B.o.B., Gavin DeGraw, Wild Cherry, One Republic, Peter Gabriel, Jake Owen, The Script, Outkast, plus two original songs.
Tickets ($39-$69) for the two-week, limited engagement of Gentleman’s Rule are now on sale at the Royal George box office, 1641 N. Halsted Street. Call (312) 988-9000; www.Ticketmaster.com.
