Barbra Streisand, in town for her big concert Friday night at the United Center, took time out to catch daughter-in-law Diane Lane starring in “Sweet Bird of Youth” at the Goodman Theatre Thursday night. Lane is married to actor Josh Brolin, the son of Streisand’s hubby James Brolin (who was also in attendance). Streisand and Brolin were accompanied by actor/singer Jason Gould (Streisand’s son from her marriage to actor Elliot Gould) whose been dueting to with his mom on her current “Back to Brooklyn” tour, and Streisand’s sister, singer Roslyn Kind.
Lane had been sidelined for two performances due to laryngitis (Wednesday night’s performance was cancelled, while actress Natasha Lowe filled in for the Thursday matinee), but returned for the Thursday night show. “Sweet Bird of Youth” runs through Sunday at the theater.
