Despite heavy promotion — including an episode that NBC cut into the closing ceremonies of the London Olympics (which infuriated many viewers) — “Animal Practice,” starring Crystal the capuchin monkey from “The Hangover,” has been quietly canceled. “Whitney” will replace it.
