According to sources inside the Whitney Houston camp, the focus is now on the late superstar’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has a number of Whitney’s closest friends and associates deeply worried.

I’ve been told the 18-year-old’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, is dismissing concerns that Whitney’s only child may be facing addiction issues similar to those of her mother and father, Bobby Brown. “Which is troubling,” said a longtime Houston friend, who mentioned Bobbi Kristina’s own brief rehab stint early last year. While the Houston spokesfolks denied reports of Bobbi Kristina getting high after her mother’s funeral, sources insist the teenager

did disappear for several hours — which upset her grandmother and other family members.

The key goal for Cissy Houston is to keep Bobby Brown’s contact with his daughter at a minimum, as she continues to blame him for most of Whitney’s problems with drugs and alcohol.

Interestingly, Bobbi Kristina herself is said to have true musical talent — which should come as no surprise, given her genetic lineage. Her cousin Dionne Warwick and good friends like Alicia Keys are among those encouraging Bobbi Kristina to follow in her mother’s footsteps.

The death of Houston already has memorabilia owners scrambling to make a quick buck. One example: auctioneer Darren Julien is selling a dress, vest and jewelry Houston wore in “The Bodyguard” on March 31 — now expected to sell for much more than the prices originally listed.

MOVING ON: Though Robert Pattinson joked about now being “too old” to play Edward Cullen in any future sequel to the “Twilight” franchise, a longtime associate of the actor says he’s “done with vampires. … He appreciates what ‘Twilight’ did for his career, but now wants new challenges.”

DON’T DO IT! Kobe Bryant is working hard to win back estranged wife Vanessa, but I’ve been told virtually all her close friends are telling her to ignore his pleas — advising “once a cheater, always a a cheater.”

TOAST TALK: The 14th annual worldwide toast to the late, great Harry Caray on March 1 will be quite the fete this year — when the amazing milestone of a 5 millionth toaster will be reached. Headquartered at Harry Caray’s Tavern at Navy Pier, the celebration will include “Million Dollar Quartet” entertainment and the chance to win a pitching lesson from Kerry Wood. In honor of Chicago’s hosting the upcoming G-8 summit, HC will accept the currency of the nations participating in G-8, including euros, pounds, rubles, yen and the Canadian dollar.

OSCAR RUSH: Hollywood sources are seeing a last-minute push by boosters of “The Descendants” to overtake “The Artist” as the 5 p.m. Tuesday (L.A. time) deadline hits — especially in the key best picture, actor and director categories. Many are predicting one of the closest Oscar races in recent memory, with the possibility of many surprise winners when those famous envelopes are opened Sunday.

SEEN ON THE SCENE: While New Jersey Nets coaches lunched at Jake Melnick’s Corner Tap, the team’s Kris Humphries was mobbed by people outside, eager to snap a photo of Kim Kardashian’s 72-day husband. … Chicago Cut Steakhouse recent diners have been quite eclectic, including WLS-Channel 7’s Mark Giangreco, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, ex-guv Jim Thompson, the Bulls’ C.J. Watson, Kyle Korver and Jimmy Butler and Cook Country State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez. … TV host Poncho de Anda was sighted at e.leaven Food Company on East Ontario.
