Pierre Boulez, conductor emeritus of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, has withdrawn from his February-March dates at Orchestra Hall, on the advice of his doctor. No further details were released. Replacing him will be two conductors making their CSO debuts. For the “Beyond the Score” programs Feb. 24 and 26 and subscription concerts Feb. 25 and 28, U.S.-based Romanian conductor Cristian Macelaru will step in. For the March 1-3 subscription dates, British conductor Jonathan Nott will take the podium. The scheduled programs otherwise remain the same. For more details, go to cso.org or call (312) 294-3000.
