A longtime friend of reality TV star Bethenny Frankel’s husband, Jason Hoppy, says Hoppy is “absolutely enraged by Bethenny publicly talking about their sex life and personal problems — and by the nerve of her estranged mother selling a divorce story about them to one of the supermarket magazines.”

Frankel herself is upset about the claims of her mother, Bernadette Birk — especially since the two women have seen each other only twice in the past decade, “and [Bernadette] clearly has no clue about what’s really going on in Bethenny’s life — let alone her marriage,” added the source.

Birk claims the couple is headed for a breakup, an allegation Frankel’s publicist called “totally false.”

† As for Hoppy, he’s hopping mad about his wife’s public comments about intimate details of their marriage, statements some think Frankel made to boost ratings for her “Bethenny Ever After” reality show. Hoppy is especially furious by her quote to Life & Style that his “penis has cobwebs on it” — her way of describing their infrequent lovemaking.

The mother of 20-month-old daughter Bryn — who Frankel was expecting when the couple wed in 2010 — the former “Housewives of New York” mainstay has admitted she is undergoing extensive therapy in order to save her marriage.

“I’ve always been good at business,” Frankel told Life & Style — referring to her four books and her multi-million-dollar Skinnygirl drink and diet food product line — “but I’ve always struggled with relationships.”

A longtime Frankel associate said Thursday, “She’s all about money and business and doesn’t give a crap about Jason.”

SPLITSVILLE SAGA: Another seemingly stable Hollywood relationship apparently has gone kaput. According to People magazine, Johnny Depp and French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis are all but over after 14 years.

According to several sources, the ex-couple separated more than a year ago — only uniting to engage in joint parenting for kids Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9, whom both are known to adore.

Spokesfolks for both Depp and Paradis declined to comment on their clients’ personal lives or relationship.

HEAR THIS! Even though Brooke Mueller already is in a residential rehab program battling her addiction to booze and crack cocaine, Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife reportedly wants him to help her get on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” Along with her more serious addictions, Mueller is also known to be deeply addicted to the fame game. … I’m hearing that published O.J. Simpson quote about being the biological father of Khloe Kardashian — roundly denied by the reality TV clan — grew out of a joke Simpson made in prison while talking about the similarities Khloe shares with his daughter Sydney and his once good friendship with Khloe’s mom, Kris Jenner.Britney Spears’ ex-bodyguard Fernando Flores lost his legal fight alleging the pop princess sexually harassed him. Now he’s peddling a book that may be released around the same time Spears weds fiance Jason Trawick.

AGENDA ACTION: Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Tony Kushner will be the guest of honor at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s spring fund-raiser.

“An Angel Among Us,” taking place March 27 at the Hilton Chicago, will toast the playwright best known for “Angels in America,” the groundbreaking Broadway sensation later adapted into an opera and a HBO miniseries.

† Chicago native Johnny “Lefty” Washington, one of the stars of the old Negro League, will be on hand following the 3 p.m. matinee Sunday of “Mr. Rickey Calls a Meeting,” the acclaimed play at Lookingglass Theatre, 821 N. Michigan, to greet fans and sign autographs.

BABY BEAT: “Over the moon doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel,” laughed PR maven and former Cook County special events queen Tobi Williams on Thursday — waxing poetic about daughter Jill and hubby Dr. Richard Hallett’s newborn son, Julian Alden Hallett.

Bill Zwecker reports regularly on “Good Day Chicago” and “Fox Chicago News at 9” on WFLD-Channel 32.
