Illinois schools on 'financial watch'

Twenty-nine school districts statewide landed on the Illinois Board of Education's annual "financial watch" list, based on low scores they received on financial reviews in the 2008-2009 budget year. Sixty-six districts made the board's "early warning" list. Select County and District for superintendent data, such as pay. Then click on details link for district level test data. Salary data source: Illinois State Board of Education Teacher Service Record (2008-09). Test data source: Illinois School Report Card (2008-09) ISAT (Elementary) and PSAE (High School) district composite results. Numbers reflect the percent of students in the district meeting or exceeding state standards. Watch Status: Recognition highest category of financial strength. Review ISBE monitoring for potential downward trends. Early Warning ISBE will monitor closely and offer assistance. Watch greatest risk district will be closely monitored.
