/rooof tops or ruff tops/ n. 1. The ever-growing, iconic seating areas atop the apartment buildings beyond Wrigley Field's outfield walls. Once a homey, questionably safe, near-outlaw part of the Cubs experience, the seats are now a regulated and marketed cottage industry in cahoots with the Cubs. 2. An increasingly popular place to put grass, flowers, bees, etc. to get on the environmental bandwagon. 3. An asphalt-shingled home for aging TV antennas, satellite dishes and birds.
