fran chee zee/ n. A fate-tempting delicacy: a beef hot dog sliced in half, stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon -- before being deep fried and served on a bun. Fries are usually included. Pete Skokos, who has served it at his Marquee Restaurant in Broadview for 33 years after borrowing the idea from a Toronto restaurant, says: "It used to be a very good seller. People now go for chicken breast."
