Golden Domer /GOAL den DOE mer/ n. Nickname for students and alums of the University of Notre Dame. Often shortened to "Domer," as in: "Of course he thinks they're going to win Saturday, he's a Domer." Nickname refers to the golden dome topping the Catholic university's Main Building. It was regilded in 2005 with 3,500 square feet of 23.9-karat gold leaf at a cost of $300,000.
