Big Stan / big STAN / n. The original nickname for the Standard Oil Building, which was renamed the Amoco Building and then Aon Center. The tower at 200 E. Randolph was completed in 1973 as the city's tallest building but now stands in third place behind the Sears and Trump towers. It's the tallest building to get a name change.
