Talk to a financial planner

April 14, 2008

Do you have questions about how to handle your money? You have a chance to ask an expert at no cost. The "Terry Savage Financial Planning for Everyone" program brings Chicagoans face-to-face with a financial planner to answer questions and offer information. The session sponsored by the Financial Planning Association of Illinois and Chicago Public Library is from noon to 2 p.m. April 21 at the Harold Washington Library Center, Cindy Pritzker Auditorium, 400 S. State. It's more important than ever to be smart with your money.

That's one event of more than 100 being offered through the city during the Federal Bank of Chicago's seventh annual Chicago Money Smart Week, April 20-26. Topics are as varied as getting out of debt, saving, teaching kids about money, starting a business and avoiding predatory lending.
