Got Milk? targets moms with 'CSI' star

May 7, 2008

Just in time for Mother's Day, the iconic "Got Milk?" campaign is shifting gears a bit to focus on -- what else? -- moms. Kicking off the new mom-focused effort is Marg Helgenberger, an actress known to many for her role on the CBS hit series "CSI." The "Got Milk?" folks selected Helgenberger to serve as the campaign's official first "chief health officer," a title intended to salute moms for keeping their families on track when it comes to health and nutrition. And of course, the "Got Milk?" folks are driving home the point that moms are responsible for making sure the rest of the family drink their milk every day.

In her stunning red dress, Helgenberger looks to be a most elegant and energized mom and chief health officer. And as is almost always the case in "Got Milk?" print executions, the copy in Helgenberger's new ad plays off her day job on "CSI": "In my role on TV and as a mom, I never miss a thing. So here's a clue: Studies suggest the nutrients in 3 glasses a day of lowfat or fat free milk can help you maintain a healthy weight."

The Helgenberger "Got Milk?" ad breaks on May 12 in Shape magazine.
