Coming Monday: 250 nifty ideas
The Chicago Sun-Times will offer 250 of them Monday, when we publish the names and descriptions of nominees for the 2007 Chicago Innovation Awards.
The companies and individuals behind the products and services will be honored Thursday at the Chicago Board of Trade floor of the CME Group.
"The quality of this year's group of nominees is fantastic," said Tom Kuczmarski, name partner with the innovation-consulting firm Kuczmarski & Associates and co-founder of the awards with the Sun-Times. "The innovations of these nominees captures the creative spirit of businesses and non-profits in America's heartland."
Ten of the nominees will be selected for an Innovation Award and feted at the sixth annual presentation at the Goodman Theatre, and featured in a special section of the Chicago Sun-Times.
The Chicago Innovation Awards program is sponsored by the CME Group, InterOcean Financial Group, Microsoft Corp., North Community Bank, the Society for Information Management of Chicago and Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.
Additional support comes from Slack-Barshinger, Boka/Landmark Restaurants, Maggiano's Little Italy, 4Door Films, Anheuser-Busch, Alice White Wines, the Market Strategy Group, WBBM Newsradio 780 and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
