Dag Kittlaus, CEO and co-founder of the Apple iPhone 4S voice-recognition assistant Siri, confirmed media reports Monday that he has returned to Chicago to spend time with his family and to pursue entrepreneurial ideas after leaving his position at Apple.
Kittlaus serves on the board of directors at the Cabrini Green Tutoring Program and is a founding advisor at Palindrome Advisors, a program that matches technology leaders with non-profits that need their help, according to Kittlaus’ LinkedIn profile. As head of Siri, Kittlaus helped develop a system that allows iPhone users to “tell” the phone to send messages, place calls, schedule meetings and get answers to questions.
