ESPN Radio’s WMVP-AM (1000) will open a street-level studio this fall so the public can watch and listen to its broadcasts. The studio will be located in the same building where the sports talk station now operates, at 190 N. State. The existing studio is on the building’s seventh floor.
Cadillac will sponsor the new, state-of-the-art studio, to be known as the Cadillac ESPN Chicago State Street Studio. The studio will be next door to the WLS-Channel 7 TV studio.
“This allows two iconic brands to partner,” said George Gulliver, regional director of Cadillac sales and marketing. “This also gives Cadillac, the fastest-growing luxury auto brand, a chance to be more a fabric of the downtown community.”
Cadillac, with a regional office in Naperville and already an advertiser with the radio station, expects its partnership with ESPN 1000 to grow, Gulliver said.
Examples include Cadillac sponsoring various ESPN 1000 sports updates and offering test drives of its cars at sites where the radio station broadcasts remotely, Gulliver said.
