Former CBOE chief Alger ‘Duke’ Chapman dies at age 81

Former Chairman and CEO of the Chicago Board Options Exchange Alger Baldwin “Duke” Chapman has died at the age of 81.
Chapman took the helm of the CBOE in 1986, retiring in 1997.
A native of Maine, he began his career as an attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission. He then joined Amsterdam-based international banking company ABN-AMRO Inc. in 1998, and soon after was named CEO of ABN-AMRO Financial Services. He retired from ABN in 2004.
