The investment firm Guggenheim Partners LLC said Monday it will add 200 employees to its downtown Chicago office over the next 18 months, drawing some from a location in Lisle.
Guggenheim said the workers will be transferred to its offices at 227 W. Monroe, where a spokeswoman said the company currently has 316 employees.
To accommodate the growth, Guggenheim is expanding its occupancy in the building by 25 percent, to 151,000 square feet, the spokeswoman said.
The Lisle space is at 2455 Corporate West Drive, an office Guggenheim took over with its 2009 purchase of Claymore Securities Inc., a provider of exchange-traded funds. The office will close.
Guggenheim is based in New York and Chicago and reports $170 billion in assets under management.
