Christie Hefner, former CEO of Playboy Enterprises Inc., said she learned that her husband, William Marovitz, owned shares of Playboy when he told her he was being investigated for suspicious trading in the stock, Bloomberg News reports.
The Hefner-Marovitz drama is one of several insider-trading cases involving husbands betraying their wives, based on SEC testimony obtained by Bloomberg. Marovitz settled with the SEC last year. The story details the allegations and efforts by Hefner to warn her husband against buying shares in Playboy.
